Our Business Model and Strategy

As an aspired leading a Mining Contracting Company in South Africa and indeed African, TechServe Mining Services offers a comprehensive range of capabilities and services covering a spectrum of the mining value chain.

Our primary strategy is to establish ourselves and constantly grow the business by growing the client base across mining, construction and engineering industries in the African Continent, but always with an appropriate profit margin.

Coupled with this primary strategy is the growth in business activity through the expansion of the offering, which will allow the company to increasingly compete in highly competitive markets but also increase the client base, without shifting our focus from currently established profitable markets.

At the core of the strategy lies the basic business model of a focus on clients, with knowledge of the target industry, efficient pricing and interaction on the one hand and client focused delivery within profitability parameters.

The business expansion should therefore be driven by sustainable sales on the one hand and synergistic acquisitions on the other.

3 Pronged Internal Focus:


First Focus

The TMS’s first focus would be on increasing sales and services through the increase in electronic and a face to face marketing strategy.

Second Focus

The second focus will be on-time/in-full delivery, competency, productivity and profitability within safety, health, quality and environmentally friendly parameters.

Third Focus

The third focus will be on intelligent procurement & distribution processes, efficient accounting controls and resource utilization.


The longer term, envisaged diversification across industries and geographic area will also have a smoothing effect on results, due to the anti-cyclical effect.

Expanding our offering will also be achieved by internal incubation of related or add-on businesses to be grown into separate profit centre divisions and by the acquisition of target companies that complement our offering, client base and philosophy.

The TMS Projects’ management is specifically tasked to give support to operating divisions and give effect to the above strategy, and ensure the continued profitability and effective management of operating divisions.

TMS Projects will increase its in-house resources and capabilities over time while retaining selected activities to increase its leading edge in regards to R&D and innovation.


Corporate Social Investment (CSI)


Corporate Social Investment forms an integral part of TMS Project business operations and remains a key area of our business strategy. We continuously invest in the communities where we found to be operational. In recent years, we have made significant progress in this area of responsibility through investing in our communities and employees as well as partnering with local businesses. We also prioritize education of our employee and their children especially in the field of Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Logistics.
